In 2011 Taffy learned that a dear friends daughter had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Around the same time, she had read a story in a dance magazine about the Mark Morris Dance Company who had created a class for a Brooklyn PD group. With this in mind, Taffy became determined to have a class like this in Cleveland. She singlehandedly raised enough money to start and fund the first year of our own Mark Morris dance for pd class. AKA Yes…I Can (!) Dance which is taught Sundays at 2 pm at the Mandel JCC.
In lieu of flowers, Taffy requested that donations are made to assure the continuation of this class she was so very proud of.
